My eyes aren't what they used to beNov 06, 2010

My wife bought this watch from a different location for about $60. When I first looked at it I liked the size of the face but my eyes aren't what they used to be. The watch is all but useless in the dark as both the dial and watch hands are nearly the same black color.Even in a lighted room seeing the time can be quite a challenge. I can only imaging the discussions the designers had about producing a black faced watch with near black hour, minute, and second hands.

I bought this watch as a gift for my son. He had seen a Swiss Army Watch (the original one) in a store and had said he would like one. While shopping for that watch on Amazon I came across this watch. I thought it looked a bit nicer so I bought it for him instead. He did indeed like the watch, but after wearing it for one day he was bothered by the size of the face, which has a fairly large diameter. I wanted to return the watch for the one he saw in the store, but since he had worn the watch the store would not take it back. So, my advice is to try on the watch before buying it. It is a nice watch, but the size of the face can interfere with bending your wrist back all the way and it may aggravate some people.
