Very SatisfiedApr 26, 2011
By Brad Tabbert I am surprised at the negative reviews detailing the fragility and uselessness of this watch. I have had mine for almost three years, and I've worn it almost everyday, including on the Inca Trail, in the rainforsts of Peru and Costa Rica, rafting, rappelling, shooting, snorkeling, camping and numerous hikes, trekking across Scotland (from the west coast to the east coast over 15 days), kayaking, swimming, canoeing, skydiving and ziplining-I'll stop there, but you get the idea.
The watch works well, and I'm only now changing the battery ($45 with water proof test), even though it's not dead yet (preventative maintenance before the next big trip). Of course, the compass and other features are not highly accurate (I wouldn't navigate cross country with it), but they are very useful quick reference tools. I find myself using the compass, barometer and altimeter all of the time, not to mention the alarm almost every morning.

By W. Watcher Very nice watch. Being titanium it is very light and comfortable to wear and is very reliable. It took a little while to set and manuver through the push buttons and it seems smaller then its 42MM case, but a good purchase.
Love the watchJan 26, 2012
By MR.MRM Love the watch, altho I cut too much off of one side of the band & not enough the other.

UPDATE******
I finally contacted Tissot america and they repaired my watch for free. The strap cost me $50 replacement (wear&tear acceptable), but the repairs to the touch portion cost zero. Good to see they backed up the defect. Only downside was the time to get the repair (~6 weeks).
I moved my stars up from 2 to 4 for the MFG backup of repair.

I own this watch, which I purchased in Bern, Switzerland (800 swiss francs) while on a vacation in summer of 2007. I enjoyed the touch functions, which was the selling feature for me. The Swiss retailer surprised me and told me not to wear it in the water (swimming) or else I could experience problems. I hesitated but decided to go for it. I had followed the retailer's advice and removed it when I went swimming despite the manual's insistence it was fine.
Shortly after the warranty expired (24months) several of the touch functions stopped working. Now Im down to only one touch function working! (I have since started wearing it in the water).
I am truly disappointed in the reliability of the features for which I purchased the watch. In addition I am now in need of a new rubber strap as it is about to break along the adjustment holes. To date, I have not had to replace a battery 3.5 years).
I do like the look, feel and weight of the watch despite the reliability failures of the touch features, thus I give it 2 stars and continue to wear it.
