4Exactly what it calims to beJan 14, 2010

This watch looks good and does what it is supposed to. It is exactly what it claims to be. Be sure to read the instructions on how to set the chronograph hands to zero. It can and does occasionally get out of whack somehow, but it is easy to reset.

As a day-to-day knock around watch this can't be beat, fitting somewhere in between a cheap digital workhorse and a fancier dress watch. If your day to day takes you into rugged work or play territory that could easily destroy a fancy watch, but you don't want to wear a cheap looking digital, this one is a great chioce.

The only reason it doesn't get five stars from me is that the fine silver chrono hands against silver back ground are hard to see in dim light. If you intend to use the chronograph function a lot that is a very real concern. I wouldn't use this watch to time critical stuff at night, like navigating an airplane or a boat.

Very (VERY) light watch, but does not feel cheap. High quality makes it look like a much more expensive time piece, but has familiar and user-friendly Timex attributes. (ease of use, Indiglo backlight, easy to read)

The chronograph works well, but I wish it was set up differently. The small dial at 6 o'clock is the continual second hand for the time on the watch, while the large second hand is used only for the chronograph. (i.e. the large second hand only moves when you are using the stopwatch, and the small dial at 6 o'clock continually cycles through 60 seconds) Not a big deal, and to be honest I haven't noticed it since first making myself familiar with the watch.

Watch band and clasp are comfortable and feel solid, while not obnoxious. Average men's size watch face and thickness, not too big. Buttons on right side are smooth and comfortable. Some watches with buttons on the side have slid down my wrist and rubbed the skin, making marks... but this one does not.

Good watch for the price.

4Excellent for the priceMar 19, 2008

This is a fine watch... for the price. I have had the watch for only a few days but here is a rating in a nutshell. The watch is attractive and the case, being titanium, is sturdy and light. Some may not like the matte finish but I think it is excellent. The watch is stylish but certainly not modish. Pros: good looking, light, comfortable, substantial, functions well as timekeeper. Cons: band length difficult to adjust, Indiglo light does not illuminate the dial well enough to read the time easily, second hand does not return precisely to zero in the stopwatch function. Even considering the faults, I do not regret my purchase. A nice watch for the price.
