A great, classy quartz watchMar 28, 2011
By Legal Eagle I can't currently afford a nice mechanical/automatic watch, but I needed something classy for everyday business wear. I'm a sucker for watches with roman numerals, and this was the best-looking at the right price point.
The watch came nicely packaged in a cool box, fastened around a cushion. A great included storage solution. The watch itself is beautiful. The strap is leather, with a mock snake-skin texture. It needs some breaking-in, as do most leather bands. The watch casing is slim, with a really sleek and great-looking profile. The face of the watch is gorgeous. The roman numerals, the hand styling, everything. It even has numbers inside the main numerals indicating the hours in 24H (military) time. It took me a minute of thinking to realize that that's what those smaller numbers were.
As with most quartz watches, the time kept is accurate, and doesn't gain or lose any noticeable amount of time. If it loses a few seconds, you won't tell anyway, due to the lack of a seconds hand (which I prefer, really).
If you are looking for a budget-minded and classy watch for everyday wear, I can't recommend this strongly enough. I can see myself wearing this watch even after I have the finances to graduate to higher-end watches.
Look and comfort.Sep 04, 2011
By Yournaber The watch fit's perfectly. It had been tight for a week, but stretched out in a short amount of time. The look of it I didn't enjoy much at first, so I sanded the chrome finish lightly with a very fine sandpaper and it looks stunning now. The roman numerals looks great and I've gotten a good number of complements on the watch so far. Excited to see how well it lasts and ages.
